Our Story

Some things are not invented, but discovered over time.

Druska is the result of a journey shaped in stages, where each transformation brought greater clarity to the brand's identity.

After three years under the name FIZIC - a name we held dear but ultimately had to leave behind - followed by two years of transition, marked by searching, shifts and recalibration under the interim identity The F Store, the direction gradually became clear, revealing what had been present all along.

Druska.

A name that had existed for years, used since 2011, yet unrecognized as such until it naturally became the essence of the brand.

"Druska" means "salt" in Lithuanian - an essential, discreet yet indispensable element that brings depth and character. At the same time, it carries the echo of a childhood name, Andrusca, associated with a sense of comfort and familiarity.

In retrospect, this search was less about finding something new and more about returning - a process of recognizing what was already there.

Founded in 2021 in Cluj-Napoca, Druska has grown organically, at its own pace, around a clear direction and a community that resonated with it.

From the very beginning, the brand collaborated with stores both locally and internationally, establishing its presence within a broader context even in its early stage, under the name FIZIC.

The first collections were developed in the brand's own atelier in central Cluj, in a close and hands-on rhythm that allowed for constant attention to each piece. As production expanded to collaborations with factories in Romania, the atelier remained an essential part of the process, used for custom work, adjustments and the hand-finishing of selected details.

At the same time, the sourcing of materials became increasingly refined, through an ongoing search for suppliers aligned with the brand's standards of quality and sustainability.

The evolution was rapid, and in 2023 Druska opened its first store in Cluj-Napoca - a space that enabled direct contact with the community and played a key role in validating the brand's direction.

This stage naturally led to further development. In collaboration with the brand Senin, Textura Concept Store was created - a shared project bringing together a carefully curated selection of contemporary design.

Textura has since become a meeting point for contemporary design, built around the founding brands Druska and Senin, and extended through a curated selection of local brands alongside a number of international presences, within a context that reflects the shared values of those involved.

Today, Druska continues to grow at the same deliberate pace, remaining true to a direction shaped over time, grounded in the idea of essence, balance and durability.

Our Philosophy

Druska creates limited series of timeless womenswear pieces, where rigor, proportion and material are essential and naturally support one another.

Everything begins with the material, and this choice remains the starting point in everything that defines the brand. Natural fabrics - silk, linen, hemp, cotton - are selected alongside innovative fibers, sourced from European suppliers, through collaborations with established manufacturers and ateliers where tradition and precision are preserved over time. Material, construction and craftsmanship are not separate stages, but parts of the same process, directly shaping the quality and character of each piece.

Production is carried out locally, with careful involvement in every stage, so that each detail is approached with rigor and respect for the process.

Over time, it has become clear that true value emerges from balance - between form and function, between rigor and sensitivity - that subtle state in which everything settles naturally and finds its meaning.

This state is called grace.

Druska does not pursue the ephemeral, but builds around what endures - pieces that can be worn repeatedly and that retain their relevance over time. In a context where the pace is increasingly accelerated, Druska chooses a more attentive and conscious way of working, creating garments meant to be worn, kept and rediscovered.

This direction implies clear choices, from material to construction and execution, all assumed as part of a standard that is not negotiable.

Druska addresses those who choose consciously, for whom quality is not optional and simplicity becomes a form of refinement.

Ready-to-wear thus becomes more than function - it becomes an experience, one of touch, proportion and presence, a form of discretion that does not seek to impress, but is felt.

About the Designer

I was born in Bucharest and began drawing long before I understood what design truly meant. My parents encouraged this inclination with generosity and trust, and later I was admitted to the "Nicolae Tonitza" High School of Fine Arts, where I studied graphics, painting, sculpture, fashion design and art history. That early immersion in visual disciplines shaped not only my technical foundation, but also my sensitivity to proportion, balance and the subtle tension between line and volume.

Later on, I chose to study Philology at the University of Bucharest - a decision that may seem unexpected, but one that gave me intellectual rigor and a structure of thought that continues to influence the way I work.

Between the ages of 16 and 29, I was the designer of the Romanian brand Luca, which grew rapidly in the years following the Revolution. Those thirteen years were a formative period, during which I developed a deep understanding of garment construction, material selection and the complexity of building and sustaining a serious brand. Working closely with skilled artisans and dedicated teams, I learned that detail is never secondary - it quietly defines the whole.

After stepping away from that project, I continued to work across different creative fields - costume design for film and advertising, illustration, capsule collections and collaborations with artists. Drawing remained constant. It is the space in which I feel most honest and most precise.

Druska brings these two directions together - drawing and garment construction - allowing line, proportion and material to influence one another. My process almost always begins with the material. I need to touch it, observe how it falls, understand its weight and character before deciding on the form. Only then does the silhouette begin to take shape.

I work slowly and deliberately, trusting intuition while remaining attentive to structure and balance.

Natural materials, responsible sourcing and small series are not choices adopted later on, but have always been, for me, the only coherent way of working. I am not interested in garments designed to disappear after a single season. I believe in a wardrobe built with intention, made of pieces that can be kept, worn and rediscovered over time.

Through each collection, I try to cultivate a more attentive relationship with clothing - with the material, with proportion, with the way we choose to build our wardrobe. Over time, a community of women who share these values has formed around this way of working.

If I were to reduce everything to a single word, it would be Grace.
